Mimice, Croatia
Tourist and fisherman village is located 12 km south-east of Omis. Settlement is known for beautiful and long pebble beaches.

Mimice are small tipical Mediterranean place and authentic Dalmatian settlement. Mimice are about 12 kilometers southeast from Omis, 35 kilometers southeast from Split and about 25 kilometers northwest from Makarska. Mimice was established in the 17th century, which is proved by numerous monuments which are located in the old part of the place, near the church. Settlement kept its charm of the former generations through its traditional architecture, traditional manifestations by the church of Saint Roko and by producing quality red wine like it was produced in the old times.
Mimce stretches from the mountain all the way to the beautiful pebble beaches. Fisherman village is proud with two beaches famous for their white sand. Near beaches you can find beach bars, and both of the beaches are suitable for families with small childdren. Every morning tourist ships set sail from the port to daily trips to island of Brac.
New village is placed under the main road. There is a postal office, a grocery store, several restaurants, pizzerias, caffe and beach bars. Here you can find excellent and superior accommodation in apartments very close to the beach. And every evening in the old part, in taverns you can enjoy in fresh fish on grill, fished by local fishermans, and in authentic red wine.
